Dulquar Salmaan involved in a financial scam inevitably results in a blockbuster film, giving ideas for filmmakers and casting couch. Coincidentally, Dulquar Salmaan’s movies with a scamming plot somehow garners the attention of fans. The recent Diwali release, ‘Lucky Bhaskar’ joins the line as the periodic crime- thriller has gauged a place for itself among other heavy productions. 

According to Sithara Entertainments, the producers of the film, ‘Lucky Bhaskar’ has grossed 12.70 crores worldwide and a regional collection of 6.45 crore on Day 1, according to Scanilk with housefull shows across the languages due to the coinciding release of Diwali. 

Day 2 collection had a steady leap with 6.55 crores regionally and 26.2 crores worldwide with the state wise collection includes Karnataka – 0.65 cr, Andhra Pradesh $Telangana – 4025 cr, Tamil Nadu- 0.7cr, Kerala – 1.95 cr with the rest from other state releases across India.

By Day 3, audiences were revisiting many shows with promising reviews, resulting in a worldwide collection of 39.9 Crores with the regional collection cumulating to 8.75 crores, giving a comfortable space for better predictions on day 4. 

Apart from the Diwali holidays, Day 4 falling on a Sunday propelled the already growing collection by 6.6%, according to Sacnilk with the Worldwide collection of 55.4 Crores, equating the success of ‘Lucky Bhaskar’ to the impressive cast and crew. 

Regarded as Dulquar Salmaan’s pushback film after the failure of ‘King of Kotha’ and proving that Dulquar’s cross language films garnering immense traction and accolades, heavily relying on the Pan Indian image he has built all these years, especially in South Indian languages. 

‘Lucky Bhaskar’ was released along with several big starrer movies like ‘Amaran’, ‘Singham Again’ and several interesting flicks like ‘Bhool Bhulaiya 3’ and ‘Bagheera’ yet excelling as a unique watch with a similar story with good execution. The performances being appreciated with the sporadic screenplay, the film certainly stands out genre- wise, thus provisioning range for the audience to opt for their holidays. 

Day 5 yielded the expected collection with the worldwide gross by the fifth day resulting in 61.4 crores, slightly lesser than day 4 with 3.35 crores on day 5 alone. State wise collection is topped by AP and Telangana with 1.65 crores and Kerala following close with 1.1 crores.
